Safety & Industrial Hygiene Specialist
Senior Safety & Industrial Hygiene Specialist

Pfizer Global Manufacturing, Kalamazoo, has one opening for a Safety &
Industrial Hygiene Specialist or Senior Safety & Industrial Hygiene Specialist.

Principle Accountabilities:
-Provide expert technical safety and industrial hygiene support to Pfizer colleagues, contractors and operating areas.
-Develop, implement and administer comprehensive programs to facilitate compliance with federal, state, local and Pfizer regulations and requirements.
-Analyzing existing and planned products, processes, equipment, facilities and programs to develop and implement proactive strategies to minimize the potential for injury, illness, property loss and business interruption.

Minimum Qualifications:
-A science based relevant BA/BS. MS/MPH preferred.
-5 years of full time experience in safety, industrial hygiene or related discipline.
-Certification as a CSP, CIH and/or PE desirable.
-In depth knowledge of electrical safety (NFPA 70E) and Asbestos a plus.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication.
-Creativity, problem solving skills and diplomacy
-Flexibility, customer focused and keen sense of prioritization
-Thorough knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, engineering and basic toxicology.
